Your device comes with an MHL adapter included in the box which allows you to view videos and other media that you have on your phone, on a compatible HD TV.
To connect your device, follow below steps:
(1). Connect one end of a universal HDMI cable into the MHL Adapter.
(2). Then connect the other end to the HDMI port on your TV.Note: The Universal HDMI cable is not included with your device.
(3).Connect your Travel Charger to the MHL Adapter.Warning!: Make sure that you use the Travel Charger that was included with your phone. If you use an unapproved travel charger, there is a possibility that the MHL adaptor might not function properly.
(4).Connect your Travel Charger to an approved power source .
(5).Connect the MHL Adapter connector into the Power/Accessory Interface port on your device . This is the same port that you normally use to connect your Travel Charger.Note: Do not connect the MHL Adapter to your device through the Desktop dock. The Video and Audio output will not work correctly.
The TV screen will instantly display what is on your device home screen.
Note: After connecting the MHL Adapter, the upper and lower sides of the TV/Monitor’s screen may be cut off. In this case, you can adjust the TV/ Monitor in the Settings menu on your TV. Consult your TV owner’s manual.

MHL的定義:
Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL)是一種連接便攜式消費電子裝置的影音標準接口，MHL僅使用一條信號電纜，通過標準HDMI輸入接口即可呈現于高清電視上。它運用了現有的Micro USB接口，不論是手機、數碼相機、數字攝影機和便攜式多媒體播放器，皆可將完整的媒體內容直接傳輸到電視上且不損傷影片高分辨率的效果。
MHL技術的主要性能:
1.只需5個管腳就可提供高清影音信號，其允許采用一個適合便攜式設備的微型連接器來實現。2.具有超低的工作電流和待機功耗，可節省電池壽命。3.通過一條電纜，就可支持高達1080p分辨率的高質量數字高清晰視頻。4.與今天大多數數字電視采用的HDMI輸入接口兼容。5.包括了集成的CEC功能和邏輯控制。
MHL的技術特點:
1.在兼容Mini-USB接口的基礎上開發可傳輸高清影音信號的標準，目前可支持到720p/1080i。2.由接收端(通常為電視)向發送端(通常為手機)提供5V電源用于充電。3.支持USB功能。HDMI接口、USB接口、充電接口三口合一，有效減少了設備上的接口數目。
MHL 1.0規范可提供以下功能:
視頻:從便攜式設備到電視和顯示器，可以顯示最高1080p/60的畫質
音頻:支持最高192 kHz的音頻傳輸，可以提供最高7.1聲道LPCM（線性脈沖編碼調制）環繞聲和壓縮音頻。
功率:一種音頻/視頻設備提供5伏特電壓和500毫安電流，來不斷為便攜式設備提供動力以及充電。
實施MHL 1.0規范的產品具有以下優點:
連接:通過一種5針腳接口，移動設備可以通過一條單獨電纜輸出高質量視頻和數字音頻，同時接收來自電視和顯示器以及市面上現有的多用途連接器的功率。
控制:從便攜式設備到音頻/視頻設備，消費者可以在其中展示數字媒體，并且可以通過指令和控制技術遙控器訪問內容。

MHL和USB共用接口
MHL還有一個優勢是它能夠傳輸所有各種格式的信號。”Eidson表示。我們看到，手機與電視的很大不同是，它能夠支持多種媒體格式，包括MPEG4，H.264，AVI，Quick time，或者是windows media，甚至是RM/RMVB。傳統上我們就使用USB接口把它跟電視對接，但是這樣做有一個不好的地方，因為電視收到這些信號后要進行信號的解壓縮和解密，這個過程就損傷了信號的清晰程度，而MHL在傳輸的過程中使得電視省去了解壓縮的環節，所以這些信號可以原封不動的傳輸給高清電視并播放出來，支持各種各樣格式的信號質量不受到任何損傷。
他進一步解釋，具體設計上，一些制造商會選擇標準的USB連接器來連接PC，這種情況下，就需要另一個MHL連接器。但是，也有一些廠商希望由一個連接器完成所有的功能，那么就可以讓USB與MHL采用同一個連接器，“但是，MHL不需要特殊的連接器。它是一個5Pin的接口，所以可以插入現有的，或新的用戶定制的連接器中。這種情況下的例子有蘋果的iPod連接器和微軟的Zune連接器。”他補充。
